Betty Zizinga Kaddu
Position: Founder and Managing Director
Personal Information:
Betty Zizinga Kaddu is the founder and Managing Director. She is a Chartered Accountant, A Tax practitioner, and has a Bachelor’s of Statistics degree from Makerere University.
Her Entrepreneurship journey started with engaging women and youth in the neighbourhood to make for her recycled-waste-fuel that she had researched about on the internet. They made more than she needed for home use, but they kept knocking on her door for work. In order not to discourage them, she streamlined the operations and started a social enterprise.
She is an Alumni of accelerator programs TEF, AWEC, REBI, where she acquired skills in Marketing, Leadership and Strategic Management, among others.
She has attended several workshops in Biomass Renewable Energy and belongs to AScHES- an international community of briquettes-makers which advances research in Briquettes Technology in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The Charcoal Project.
